FAQ: Not receiving emails

Learn what to do if you or your customers stop receiving emails from Bookwhen

Written by Anni

Sometimes emails from Bookwhen may not reach you or your customers. This can happen due to issues like hard bounces, spam complaints, or email service provider blocks.

This article explains the common reasons emails aren’t delivered and the steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Different types of bounces

There are three types of bounces:

Hard bounce

A hard bounce occurs when there's an error on the receiving end, such as an incorrect email address. This blocks any future emails to that address.

Spam complaint

If an email address is marked as invalid due to a past spam complaint, emails may be sent to the junk folder or blocked entirely. You can unmark this through your email host, or our support team can assist.

ISP block

An ISP block occurs when the receiving mail provider rejects the email, preventing delivery and blocking future emails. To resolve this, add mail@bookwhen.com to your safe sender list.

💡 Please note: Sometimes an email may show as delivered but not appear in your inbox. Once we send the message, we can't track or control it. It might go through additional checks or be withheld by your mail server. For further assistance, contact your mail server.

How can I confirm that an email delivery issue has been resolved
