When a customer pays for a booking online, a processing fee is charged for each transaction. The fee is deducted from the payment before the remaining amount is paid out to you.
This article explains the processing fees that apply when using Bookwhen Payments, powered by Stripe.
What you'll pay
With Bookwhen Payments powered by Stripe, you pay:
Your Bookwhen subscription: Your regular monthly or annual fee for using Bookwhen.
A processing fee for each online payment: The fee depends on the payment method your customer uses.
Stripe powers Bookwhen Payments, and you can still access your Stripe account and dashboard. However, Bookwhen sets the processing fees for Bookwhen Payments, so Stripe's standard pricing does not apply.

The following fees apply to payments processed through Bookwhen Payments, powered by Stripe.

Stripe Legacy fees
If you were already using Stripe before 26th August 2026, you are likely still using Stripe Legacy.
With Stripe Legacy:
You pay your Bookwhen subscription fee for using Bookwhen. This is the only fee Bookwhen receives from your account.
Stripe sets the processing fees for your online payments.
Stripe deducts the processing fee from each transaction before paying the remaining amount to you.
You can continue to access your Stripe account and dashboard.
We'll move your account to Bookwhen Payments powered by Stripe in the future.
