You can embed passwords directly into your Zoom meeting links created through Bookwhen’s Zoom integration. This makes it easier for attendees to join your event securely without typing in a separate password.
This article explains how to embed passwords into Zoom meeting links generated by Bookwhen so attendees can access your events smoothly and securely.
Why embedding a password is important
We add a password to all meetings generated by our Zoom integration by default for enhanced security.
To make it easier for your attendees to join the meeting with just one click, we "embed" the password in the meeting link. This way, they don’t need to enter it manually, making the process more secure for you and simpler for your attendees.
If the password isn't embedded, your attendees will need to enter it manually, which can lead to confusion or delays as they try to join the meeting.
Ensuring all meeting links have an embedded password
Although our integration automatically embeds a password, a setting in your Zoom account can override this, causing attendees to be required to enter a password manually.
To switch this setting on:
Log into your Zoom account.
Open your Zoom Settings.
Toggle on Embed passwords in meeting link for one-click join:
You must also select the following settings under Meeting Passcode:
All instant and scheduled meetings that users can join via client or room systems will be passcode-protected. The Personal Meeting ID (PMI) meetings are not included.
Require a passcode for meetings that have already been scheduled:
