The Dashboard is a useful tool for tracking the status of your bookings. In this guide, we’ll explore the different elements of the "Latest booking activity" section and clarify how various bookings are categorised.
This article covers:
Latest Booking Activity
The Latest booking activity section displays recent activity related to your events, including:
Completed bookings
A completed booking is one in which the customer has successfully completed all the checkout steps and finalised their booking.
For online payments, this includes completing the payment. However, if you offer an offline payment option, some bookings may appear as 'Owes' and you will need to manually record payment.
Checkout bookings
Checkout bookings represent instances where customers started the booking process but didn’t complete it. For example, when the customer selects the Book now button on the public pages, a booking will enter the' checkout' phase.
We (Bookwhen) reserve the place(s) for the duration of the 'checkout reservation period' (you can change this in your Booking options). A booking remains in the checkout status even if abandoned.
Cancelled bookings
A cancelled booking will only appear under the Cancelled tab if the entire booking was cancelled. If only a specific ticket within the booking is cancelled, it might not show up in this section.
For example, if a booking contains multiple tickets and only one is cancelled, this won’t update the booking timestamp, so it won’t be reflected in the Latest booking activity as a cancellation.
Transferred bookings
The Transferred tab shows any bookings that have been transferred to a different date or event.
