Customer reporting

We've created a Google Sheets workbook to help you dive deeper into your customer export. With just a few steps, you can analyse key metrics, such as customer and email address counts, booking totals and values, customer insights by name and email, and trends by year and month.

Setting up your data

  1. Open this reporting document and select Make a copy.

  2. Select Customers from the left-hand dashboard menu, and generate the search.

    • You can filter as needed using filters such as start and end dates (which apply to the event date, not the booking date), entry names, etc.

  3. Select the Options drop-down menu, then Export customers (CSV) to export the report into a spreadsheet:

Customer tab example, with arrow pointing at the 'Export customers (CSV)' option under the 'Options' drop-down menu, highlighting what users should click to generate the report.

  4. Open the downloaded CSV file using your preferred spreadsheet software (such as Excel, Google Sheets, etc.). Then, select and copy the entire content.

    πŸ’‘ Keyboard shortcuts to copy:

    1. Windows: Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C

    2. Mac: Cmd+A and Cmd+C

  5. Paste the copied content from your exported file to the previously opened workbook (step 1) on the first tab titled CUSTOMERS IMPORT - paste details from export here:

Spreadsheet example with arrow pointing at the 'CUSTOMERS IMPORT - paste details from export here' tab, at the bottom of the page.

    πŸ’‘ Keyboard shortcuts to paste:

    1. Windows: Ctrl+V

    2. Mac: Cmd+V

Understanding the reporting workbook template

To help you maximise the value of the workbook and improve your reporting, we’ve included an overview of the key metrics found in each tab below:

Tab 1: Customers Import - Paste details from export here

This tab is where you add the data from your downloaded report, which powers the remaining tabs in the workbook.

Tab 2: Customers in numbers

This tab contains customer, booking, and attendance-related stats, such as the total number of customers, email addresses, bookings and attendances, and bookings' total value.

You can use this to review the number of:

  • Customers and child accounts.

  • Email addresses by status (verified, unverified and invalid).

  • Bookings and attendances.

  • Cancelled and transferred tickets.

  • Passes sold and uses remaining, and

  • The total bookings value.

Tab 3: Customer Insights (by email)

This tab includes customer-related stats based on the email address.
