Bookers do not need an account to check out with Stripe; they either need a debit or credit card to pay. Payment with Stripe is a straightforward process; bookers can use their mobile phone number to pay in subsequent transactions (if they choose!).

It is still possible for your bookers to save their card details for future bookings, but there has been an update to the latest Stripe payment gateway integration (as directed by Stripe) to improve security and access to significantly more payment methods.

The new Stripe payment form works by dynamically selecting and offering all available payment methods appropriate for making a payment. This makes the new payment form a "one-stop shop" for payments that is automatically updated to provide more payment methods in the future without Bookwhen having to update the integration continually. The way cards were saved before is no longer recommended and is incompatible with the new payment form.
