✅ Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on the new PayPal integration.
❌ Pay later/Venmo aren't currently available on either PayPal version.
Customers who previously saved their card details may need to re-enter their information. They can securely store their payment details in a 'Wallet' for a faster, more secure checkout experience.
Stripe
To enable this option for your customers:
Log into your Stripe account and go to your payment methods.
Under the Wallet section, toggle on both Google Pay and Apple Pay.
⚠️ Apple Pay is only available on Safari, and Google Pay is available only on Chrome. While the wallet options may appear, we can’t guarantee that they will work. This is mainly because each browser handles iframes differently.
Details on how your customers can set these up are in the help guides below:
Apple Pay: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204506
PayPal
Ensure you have a PayPal Business account. Apple Pay and Google Pay are only available for business accounts.
Enable the payment methods:
Visit the PayPal product page to add Google Pay: Add Google Pay to your PayPal account.
Visit the PayPal product page to add Apple Pay: Add Apple Pay to your PayPal accoun.t
PayPal will guide you through connecting each payment method to your account. Once enabled, Apple Pay or Google Pay should show as options at checkout.
Make a test booking to ensure the payment options appear correctly for customers.
💡 Please note: Enabling these wallets may require additional configuration if you use a developer integration or a partner platform.
Disabling Apple/Google Pay
Stripe
To disable these payment methods, simply toggle off the Use Apple Pay or Use Google Pay options in your checkout settings within Stripe:
💡 Please contact Stripe if you require further assistance with your Stripe account.
PayPal
If you’ve enabled Apple Pay or Google Pay via PayPal, you can disable them by removing the wallet integration from your PayPal setup:
For sites using Advanced Checkout or a custom integration, remove the Apple Pay or Google Pay configuration from your integration code or settings. This stops the payment options from appearing at checkout.
If you are using a platform or partner integration, check their settings to remove Apple Pay or Google Pay support.
✨ Tips:
Test the checkout once complete: Make a test booking to confirm that Apple Pay or Google Pay no longer appears as a payment option.
Customers who added PayPal to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet can also remove it directly from their device to prevent payments through those wallets.
