By default, any link posted on the internet should appear on search engine results. You can switch this off to ensure your public booking page doesn't appear in search results. We do this by adding a special 'noindex' filter on your public booking page.
To find the setting, navigate to your Public booking page, and select Customise page in the top right-hand corner:
From here, uncheck the Include in web search results box to stop your page from being displayed in search engine results, then select Save settings:
π‘ To note: Accounts on our Free plan are automatically locked to noindex, regardless of this setting, meaning if you are on the free plan, your page will be automatically hidden from the search engine results.
Important note
The checkbox controls whether or not we include a "NO INDEX" tag in the HTML for the page.
π This means that Google (and other search engines) will have to 're-crawl' a page in order to detect any changes. This setting is controlled externally, and how quickly the changes are implemented depends on how often the page is crawled. This could be more often for pages that are clicked through from a search result or less often if the page isn't linked to from anywhere at all.
We cannot guarantee the page is made searchable or removed right away.
