You can showcase an event without allowing bookings by marking tickets as "unavailable". This lets you share information while directing customers elsewhere if needed.

This article explains how to create list-only entries to display events without accepting bookings.

How to set up a list-only entry

To do this:

  1. Select your entry, then Edit entry:

Scheduling setup with an arrow pointing to the 'Edit Entry' button, indicating where users can click to access their entry settings.

  2. Select the Tickets & Costs tab:

Edit entry tabs displaying Information, Location, Dates & Times, Tickets & Costs, Booking Form, and More Options. A box highlights the Tickets & Costs tab, guiding users to open the ticket settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Booking options section to set the Maximum tickets per booking to zero (0):

Arrow pointing to the 'Maximum tickets per booking' setting, highlighting where users can enter the desired maximum number of tickets per booking.

  4. Remember to add any relevant information within the Information tab (i.e. website, how to book, etc). For example:

Information tab with an arrow pointing to the 'Description' field, highlighting where users can add details on booking via an external source.

  5. Once added, select either Save or Save & Exit to save your changes.

The ticket option will appear as Unavailable on your public booking page, allowing customers to review the event details without the option to book a ticket.

For example:

Example of an unavailable event on a public page, displaying the event details from the entry but without an option to add tickets to the basket.

Important note

It’s not possible to save an entry without at least one ticket. For list-only entries, you can create a ticket specifically to signpost your external booking flow:

  1. Create a ticket with a clear title. For example: “This is not a ticket”.

  2. Include a description such as: “To book this event, please visit [external page name].”

  3. Set a maximum event size greater than zero or to match your expected attendance.

  4. Consider password-protecting the entry to prevent accidental bookings.

This method prevents the event from appearing as "fully booked" while clearly guiding customers to your external booking page.
