If you want to see how many people are interested in an event or collect email addresses for potential customers, you can create a 'waiting list only' entry.
To do this, you'll need to ensure you have the waiting list setting switched on, create your entry, and amend your capacity levels to zero.
Setting up the entry
Select Add a new entry from within your scheduling page:
Select the Information tab and add the name of the entry under Name.
For example, "Register your interest":
Select the Dates & Times tab, where you can then choose a specific date.
Alternatively, if you'd like the entry to sit at the top of your schedule and it isn't specific to a specific date, you can create a '365' day event.
To do this, select All day event and type '365' under the Duration (in days) box:
You'll then need to ensure that the event appears as 'fully booked' to activate the waiting list.
To do this, add a '0' in the Maximum event size box, under the Tickets & Costs tab:
Your customers can then use the Join waiting list button on your public page to register:
π‘ To note: Your customers can make multiple bookings on an entry using the same 'booker' email, but not the same attendee email. For this reason, we recommend that you remove the attendee email booking form field, keeping only the booker email field.
Editing the duration or date within the Dates & Times tab will remove any active wait listers from the list. If you need to amend the duration of the event. Instead of editing the date, we recommend:
Unpublishing your current wait list entry and duplicating it to avoid the details being lost when amending the date or
Noting the wait listers' information before you amend any dates.
