There are two ways to restrict how many tickets your bookers can purchase for an event.

This article covers:

Maximum event size

You can find this setting under the Tickets & Costs tab within your entry:

This setting refers to the maximum capacity of your event.

Number of tickets available

You can find this setting under the Tickets & Costs tab within your entry:

This setting refers to how many tickets you wish to make available for this particular ticket type. This is particularly useful for those with multiple ticket options and who want to restrict each one by a specific number.

💡 To note:

  • Regardless of how many available tickets you set, the Maximum event size will override that number if set lower. For example, if you set the maximum event size to 10 and the Number of tickets available to 15, the system will cap bookings for the event at 10.

  • If you set the Number of tickets available as a lower number than the maximum event size, bookers can only purchase that set amount of tickets.

  • The event will never oversell more than specified in the Maximum event size box.
