What is a Pass?

A Pass lets you buy a block of classes at a set price and redeem them later.

💡 Passes are created by event organisers, who set the price and number of uses available.

Purchasing passes

💡 To purchase a pass, you need to select at least one ticket included in the pass during the same transaction.

If your event organiser sells a pass option, a "Passes" tab will appear at the top of their booking page. For example:

Adding the pass to your basket

To add the pass to your basket:

  1. Select the Passes tab, then Select:

Passes tab on on the booking page with an arrow pointing at the 'Select' button

  2. Select the Select more to go back to the main booking page, where you can select a ticket.

  3. Valid tickets will show under the ticket options.

  4. Once added, you can proceed with your booking by selecting Book now:

💡 You can select more than one valid class in the initial pass booking.

If you don't select a ticket when purchasing a pass, the below error message will appear:

"To complete your purchase, please select at least one eligible ticket along with your pass":

Redeeming your pass

💡 Please ensure you always log in and use the same email address during checkout when redeeming your pass.

The pass links to your email address, so you won’t need to pay each time you book a valid ticket. On the event organiser’s booking page, valid tickets show which passes can be redeemed against them.

To redeem a use against your pass:

  1. Visit your event organiser's booking page.

  2. Select the event from the schedule list.

  3. Review the ticket options and search for an "Available with your pass" message under the Select button. If that message appears, your pass is valid with that ticket type.

  4. Select the Select button to add it to your basket:

  5. You can either select additional tickets or continue to your basket by selecting View selections:

    'View selections' box

  6. 'Pass use' will appear under the price, and you won't be charged for the valid ticket.

  7. Once you have reviewed your basket, select Book now to proceed with your booking:

  8. Enter your email address, then select Continue:

    • Please ensure you use the same email address you entered when purchasing the pass. You will also be asked for your password if you have previously created an account.

  9. Add the Attendee details plus any further information required by the event organiser:

Booking yourself and another attendee onto a class with the same pass depends on the pass settings chosen by the event organiser. If the settings don’t allow it, each pass holder must complete their booking separately.

  10. Select Continue to finalise the booking.

  11. As a Pass holder, you should not be asked to pay at this stage unless you choose tickets that are not valid with your Pass.

  12. A booking confirmation message will appear:

Booking complete page showing the booking reference, set a password hyperlink and event details

Restrictions

  • You cannot redeem a pass against a course, group, or free ticket.

  • If your account has multiple passes, eligible ticket purchases will be redeemed against the oldest pass, not the one with the most recent expiration date.

💡 To note

  • Discount codes overrule pass uses, meaning if you enter a discount code and have a valid pass, the system will redeem the discount code.

  • If you'd prefer to use a pass use, please remove the discount code by selecting the cross (x) to the right of the code.

How the checkout appears for multiple attendees

If your event organiser allows you to book multiple attendees with your pass, the checkout will display slightly differently. The system first checks that you’re not accidentally booking yourself twice.

For example, if you’ve added a pass and two tickets for the same event, the system initially removes one pass use. It may appear as though you need to pay for the second ticket, but this will update as you assign attendees.

The basket view shows a charge for the additional ticket:

However, as you move through the checkout process and add the additional attendee information, the system will redeem as intended.

The payment screen will show no further charges once all attendee information is filled out. At this point, the system allocates the second attendee to the pass redemption:

Managing a Pass

After completing a booking and creating a password, log into your account to check the remaining uses on your pass and its expiry date.

Cancelling a Pass

Depending on your event organiser's settings, you may be able to cancel a pass ticket and receive a returned use or transfer to another class.
